Company Overview
Delphi Technologies originated as a division of General Motors before becoming an independent entity on May 31, 1999. Despite the spin-off, which involved General Motors selling $3.8 billion in preferred shares of Delphi, the two companies maintained a close relationship, with Delphi continuing to supply parts for GM products.
